Join NCDC and SEED for a screening of the dramatic documentary GASLAND and a conversation with the award-winning director, Josh Fox.

Tuesday, May 17th
Harris Hall 107
7-8:30 PM Screening
8:30-9 PM Conversation with Fox

RSVP on Facebook
…
GASLAND is a dramatic documentary about the damaging environmental and social impacts of natural gas drilling, a highly intensive process known as ‘fracking.’

After director Fox received a a letter from a natural gas company interested in leasing his family’s land that sits atop the Marcellus Shale in Milanville, PA for drilling. Disturbed by the letter, he embarked on an odyssey to glean as much information as possible about natural gas drilling in the US—with movie camera in hand.

The result is a powerful film that uncovers a trail of secrets, lies and contamination.

That’s what we say…..
But what do critiques have to say about GASLAND?

“GASLAND just might be the best film of the year.” —The Huffington Post

“[I]f a film can ever enact social change, which is rare, the potency of GASLAND suggests that this may be that film.” —Variety

We are grateful for the support of our sponsors:
Institute for Sustainable Energy at Northwestern (ISEN)
Environmental Campus Outreach (ECO)
Environmental Policy and Culture (EPC)
