Project Pumpkin
Every year, just before Halloween, Norris fills with goblins, skeletons, witches, magic, candy,
decorations, and children’s screams of delight for Project Pumpkin! NCDC’s Project Pumpkin is a yearly event that accommodates children from across Chicagoland to come to a safe place to “trick-or-treat” and play carnival games. Norris Center turns into a Halloween Paradise for kids! More than 1000 children, aged 4 to 12, navigate their way through a Haunted House and activity booths run by residential colleges and dorms, Greek organizations, athletic teams, and campus student groups. It is the largest student-run community service project on campus!
Senior Gala
NCDC’s Senior Gala is a luncheon and dance put on for senior citizens of Evanston, especially residents at our elderly care
volunteer sites. Students are invited to come as well, to visit and dance with seniors!! Students and seniors get to eat, dance, and listen to a fantastic swing band, the North Shore Senior Stompers!!
Arts Fest

Over 50 group and individual artists were present and more than 800 guests attended last year’s inaugural event at Deering Meadow!
