    This was my favorite of all the Titan books. As with all of them, the language is a little raunchy for my taste, but the story is exciting. Cash and Nicola are a great second chance romance.

    I loved this book of Cash and Nicola! Read "Sweet Girl" prior to this to get their full story. The action is amazing and I'm in love with these boys from Titan!

  • Strong Women, Violence, and Romance

    A wonderful combination!! Especially if you love passion and action, this book is a lot of fun to read. I didn't give it the extra star cause there was a little too much angst and drama for my liking. There was a good 100 pages of chit chat about "he loves me, he loves me not" when it could have been filled with a more developed story with the villains or taken out completely. Overall, I'm defintely going to read another Titan story. This was such a surprise as a follow-up to "Sweet Girl" which is DRASTICALLY different kind of story.

    After reading Sweet Girl I just had to follow up on Cash and Nicola's story. They are both so different in this book but I still love them. Cash will keep a special place in your heart and you will love him so much more than you did in Sweet Girl. Not to mention his nickname for Nic just makes you love him all the more. Wonderful ending to their story!

    Cash Garrison's world comes to a screeching stop when through the sight of a sniper rifle, he sees the girl he fell in love with in college, the girl he planned to marry, the girl who died before he could give her the ring. It's been ten years, but his heart remembers her clearly, and he doesn't know why she's on the arm of a wanted arms dealer, but he can't let her get away again. Not without answers. Not without another chance. The Verdict: So this kind of book isn't my usual cup of tea, but after reading Sweet Girl, I had to find out what happened next. Cash and Roman, best friends from college, have been through hell together, but they've made lives for themselves as soldiers/agents in a black ops team. They've never gotten over the death of Roman's little sister and Cash's true love Nicola, but they're getting by. So when Cash spots Nicola with a target, he mind is blown. Coming across her armed and injured a short while later has his head spinning and his heart breaking all over again. Nicola agreed to witness protection after innocently stumbling into a huge organized crime mess. It was the only way to prevent the mobsters who knew her face and name from going after her and everyone she loved, and her heart's been broken ever since. But over the years she's put her smarts to work, finding her place in the CIA as an undercover operative. It's on one of those assignments that she comes face to face with her brother and her college boyfriend after all these years. Cash's confusion and pain jumped right off the page, and while I knew they'd eventually work things out, I wasn't so sure how quickly he could reconcile the covert agent with the girl he fell in love with when life was so much simpler. His heart won out, of course, since even with all that anger and angst, he couldn't turn his back on a second chance with Nicola. I was honestly worried she had changed too much and wouldn't be as willing to strike things up again, but it seems she was still just as smitten as he was. There was a whole double-agent bit and plenty of nail-biting tension, but after reading Sweet Girl, I was much more interested in getting some closure for one of my favorite couples. Cash was a harder version of the guy he was in college, still funny and wearing his heart on his sleeve while essentially having to apologize for his playboy ways. Nicola, however, was quite a bit different, no longer the innocent and naive coed, and while I could appreciate the woman she became, I did miss the girl I met in the previous book. I suppose if I'd read these books in the opposite order, my reaction would be a bit different. I imagine I would have thoroughly enjoyed this one and then loved the look at the simpler relationship they had in college. But since I stumbled into this series rather obliviously, I found myself wishing for the love they had first, before all the guns and double agents and mysteries. Still, Garrison's Creed was a fun read, filled with action and some very hot rekindling of their old romance.
